Delete your HelpMeConstruct account

HelpMeConstruct (the HMC app) is operated by Aunaza. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data. You do not need to reinstall the app to do this.

Option 1: Delete it in the app

If you signed up with an email or phone number and a password:

  1. Open the HMC app and go to Profile, then Profile settings.
  2. Tap Delete my account and enter your password.
  3. Confirm. You are signed out and can no longer sign in to that account.

No password? In the same place, tap Request account deletion online to open this page.

Can still sign in? Sign in and use Delete my account in Settings.

Option 2: Request deletion online

Use this form if you signed up with Google, Facebook or a phone code, if you do not know your password, or if you no longer have the app. You do not need to sign in.

Never send your password, a sign-in code or a photo of your ID. We will never ask for them.

How should we contact you?

How we confirm it is you

Before anything is deleted, we contact you using the email address or phone number already on the account to confirm the request came from its owner. Requests we cannot confirm are not processed.

Requests are handled by our team after the account owner is confirmed, so deletion is not immediate. We will reply to you once your request has been processed.

What is deleted or anonymised

  • Your name is replaced with "Deleted User".
  • Your email address is replaced with an anonymous address that is not yours, and the contact phone number on your account is removed.
  • Your profile photo is removed.
  • Your password and two-step sign-in are disabled, and the account is closed so it can no longer be used to sign in.
  • Your notification settings are cleared.

What may be kept, and why

Some records are also part of another person's history (the client, worker or shop you dealt with) or are needed for security, fraud prevention, payment records, dispute resolution, audit or legal obligations. These stay and are linked to the closed account. They no longer show your account name, email, contact phone number or profile photo, but they can still contain details you entered yourself, such as a shop or company name, an address, or text in messages:

  • Jobs, bids, material orders, reviews and messages you exchanged with other users.
  • Payment records (amounts and receipt photos) that you or the other party recorded. HelpMeConstruct does not process card payments.
  • Property, job and delivery addresses and map locations linked to those jobs and orders.
  • Photos, voice notes and videos uploaded to jobs, orders, chats and progress updates, and verification documents.
  • Your client, worker or shop profile details (shop or company name, city, address, map location, bio, rates and portfolio).
  • Your profile code, the phone number you sign in with (for phone accounts), an unconfirmed email change if one was pending, the country and city of past sign-ins, and the last push notification token.

We keep these records only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. The period may vary depending on the type of information and why it is kept.

Copies may also remain for a limited time in our service providers' backups until those backups are replaced.
